School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Red Rock, Arizona

This full-time, full-school-year contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, providing vital support to school-aged children with mild to severe needs.

In this itinerant role, you’ll travel between approximately three sites, collaborating closely with school staff and supervisors. You’ll have the support of district-provided supervision, ensuring ongoing professional development and clinical guidance as you deliver essential occupational therapy services.

Qualifications:

• Current, active COTA license in Arizona
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Ability to effectively support students with a range of mild to severe needs
• Strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• Reliable transportation to provide services across multiple schools

Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing therapy plans designed by Occupational Therapists
• Work directly with students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and independence
• Adapt activities and collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and legal standards
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights on student progress
• Engage in ongoing professional learning as part of a multidisciplinary team
