Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP license for Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience working within school settings is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to tailor interventions based on individual student needs and IEP goals
  • Comfortable with both individual and group therapy sessions

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with educational goals
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, both one-on-one and in group settings
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress
  • Document all services, progress notes, and required paperwork in a timely, professional manner
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring
  • Stay current on best practices and continuing education in school-based speech therapy
