Step into a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher at a supportive middle school serving the Boulder, CO community. This full-time, on-site opportunity runs from August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027. You will join a dedicated team passionate about making a significant impact in a classroom designed to foster student growth and collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current or pending Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher license required. (Active license or COOL must be submitted with your application for interview consideration.)
  • At least one year of direct classroom teaching experience is essential.
  • Adaptable, positive approach and proven flexibility when working collaboratively.
  • Ability to support and engage with middle school students with varying needs.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to a class of 10 students, supported by peer mentors and two full-time paraeducators.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including a BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and Psych/SW, to provide holistic educational support.
  • Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs and learning styles.
  • Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and maintain thorough progress documentation.
  • Establish productive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote students’ academic and personal development.
