Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Alabama Educator SLP Certificate, or eligibility to start pending approval (see link for more)
  • Experience performing speech-language therapy and evaluations in a school-based setting is highly valued
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Committed to ethical practices and inclusive service delivery

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy and conduct comprehensive evaluations for a diverse student population
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, teachers, and families to support student progress and advocate for appropriate interventions
  • Maintain detailed, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and school requirements
  • Manage a reasonable caseload with a maximum of 60 students, split among two or three nearby campuses per assignment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor student progress, and adjust interventions as needed
