Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC required)
- School-based experience—prior work in educational settings is essential
- Familiarity with self-contained classrooms and/or early childhood centers highly preferred
- Comfortable managing elementary and/or secondary caseloads, potentially split between two campuses
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility for on-site service delivery across different school locations; remote/virtual work is not available for this opportunity
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with diverse needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans in accordance with IEP guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth
- Deliver therapy services directly—both for individual and group sessions—in self-contained and general education settings
- Maintain detailed student records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Assist in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
- Provide guidance and support to school staff regarding effective communication strategies
