Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Florida SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) accepted
- Experience in school settings preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication strengths and needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the IEP team
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions to help students reach their communication goals
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise and contributing to team planning
- Consult with teachers, families, and other professionals to support students’ success in the classroom
- Use a variety of evidence-based resources, techniques, and technology in service delivery
