Job Description
Minimum 1+ years Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience and CNA certificate required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Play a vital part in supporting high school students by providing essential care and assistance during the academic year. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering compassionate service within an educational environment, working closely with students exhibiting behavioral needs.
Schedule:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- August 2026 through June 2027
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with behaviors, promoting a safe and supportive classroom environment
- Provide hands-on personal care, including feeding, toileting, and adjusting as needed for student comfort and dignity
- Collaborate with teaching staff and administration to accommodate student needs throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student care and interactions
- Assist with mobility and ensure students’ physical needs are met appropriately
- Foster positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, understanding, and a proactive approach to challenges
Qualifications:
- Valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or LNA certification required
- Experience with personal care, preferably within a school or pediatric setting
- Comfortable working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to remain calm and adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong sense of confidentiality and professional conduct
