Cleanroom Technician
Job Description
The Cleanroom Consumables Assembly Technician assembles, inspects, and packages high-precision diagnostic consumables used in advanced testing platforms. Working in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment, this role directly supports the production of medical device components and plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance with regulated manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities- Assemble small plastic and component-based diagnostic consumables in accordance with detailed written work instructions.
- Perform repetitive bench assembly tasks, including fitting, sealing, and light mechanical assembly of components.
- Inspect finished components for defects, verifying quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Follow GMP and ISO manufacturing practices and maintain accurate, complete production documentation.
- Package finished consumables for distribution, ensuring correct labeling and traceability.
- Maintain a cleanroom or controlled work environment by following proper gowning procedures and cleanliness standards.
- Operate basic production equipment such as fixtures, sealers, and light automated tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Record production data accurately and promptly, and report any issues or nonconformances to supervisors or engineering staff.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to production efficiency by identifying and communicating opportunities for process enhancements.
- At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with small parts or in high-volume assembly settings.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) consistently.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of quality awareness.
- Comfort working in a cleanroom or regulated production environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Experience with cleanroom practices and familiarity with GMP and ISO manufacturing standards.
- Ability to use microscopes or other visual inspection tools for fine-detail component inspection.
- Proficiency in basic assembly tasks, including fitting, sealing, and light mechanical work.
- Experience in medical device, laboratory consumables, or diagnostics assembly.
- Background working in cleanroom environments with GMP or ISO compliance.
- Experience with plastic component assembly processes.
- Exposure to light welding or sealing processes in a production setting.
- Comfort using microscopes and other inspection equipment for precision work.
- Strong documentation habits and familiarity with production recordkeeping.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Guilford, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
