This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. Select SLPs will serve caseloads with no more than 60 students, working fully onsite across a blend of elementary and magnet campuses. You’ll be vital in supporting speech and language development for students in diverse educational environments.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Alabama ASHA Certification required
  • Alabama Educator SLP Certification (or eligibility; may begin with this pending)
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous experience in school-based therapy roles
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage therapy and evaluation responsibilities across campuses
  • Compassionate communicator dedicated to student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy and conduct student evaluations
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop and implement student-focused goals
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation of services and progress
  • Travel between assigned campuses and adapt services as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development
