Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist covering a maternity leave at two vibrant schools near Michigan City, IN. This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through the first week of November 2026, and serves both Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School. With your expertise, you’ll support a caseload of approximately 90 K–8 students, making a meaningful impact during the crucial early months of the school year.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license in Indiana and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience providing speech-language services in a school setting preferred
- Ability to manage a large, diverse caseload (elementary and intermediate/middle grades)
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy and diagnostics to K–8 students
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ educational goals
- Complete all necessary documentation and progress reports aligned with school requirements
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Split time between Liberty Elementary and Liberty Intermediate/Middle School, with flexibility to set your own daily schedule within the 7-hour workday
