Make a difference in students’ lives by providing essential occupational therapy services to those enrolled in special education programs. We’re seeking experienced, school-based OTs for multiple contract opportunities near Minneapolis, MN. These roles are designed to support students in Setting IV and other specialized placements, with a variety of schedules to accommodate your professional preferences.

Opportunities available:

  • Position 1: Leave of Absence, North Education Center, August 31 – approximately November 13, 32 hours/week (4 days/week), supporting Setting IV special education students.
  • Position 2: Leave of Absence, South Education Center, September 21 – January 4 (no work during winter break), 40 hours/week (5 days/week), Setting IV special education students.
  • Position 3: Full-year assignment, split between district South Metro and Ann Bremner Education Center, 20 hours/week, supporting students varying in placement.
  • Position 4: Full-time, pending final confirmation.

Qualifications:

  • Valid OT license and strong background in school-based occupational therapy.
  • Demonstrated experience serving students in special education; familiarity with Setting IV highly valued.
  • Able to follow assignment schedules and complete the length of assignment.
  • Successful completion of onboarding and district background checks.
  • Dependable transportation for travel between schools if required.
  • Must be in good standing with previous assignments if already credentialed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ needs and provide direct OT services in accordance with IEPs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and monitor intervention plans.
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with school and district protocols.
  • Promote students’ functional independence and participation in the educational setting.
