Job Description
Take your speech-language pathology expertise to the next level by making a direct impact on students’ lives in a vibrant school environment near Houston, TX. This contract position offers experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC only—no SLPA or CFs) the opportunity to work onsite in elementary settings, with a special emphasis on early childhood interventions.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Texas SLP state license (please provide license number and proof of licensure)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Minimum one year of experience in a school-based setting
- Prior experience working with early childhood populations strongly preferred
- Background working with self-contained classrooms is a plus
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours/week) across 4–5 days
- Must be comfortable with a fully onsite role; virtual work is not available for this position
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students primarily at elementary campuses
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), assessing student progress regularly
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster positive communication outcomes
- Support students in early childhood and, at times, self-contained classrooms requiring specialized intervention
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
