Job Description
Advance your career supporting students across multiple school sites by providing essential physical therapy assistance in an educational setting. This contract opportunity focuses on working in-person with K-12 students, collaborating closely with supervising physical therapists via remote support. The role requires independence and adaptability as you travel between school locations, contributing to the well-being and growth of students.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide physical therapy interventions and support to students in grades K-12, according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work independently (with remote supervision) to deliver therapy treatments, monitor student progress, and document outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create and carry out effective care plans.
- Utilize school-based technology systems for reporting, communication, and scheduling.
- Adjust therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs.
- Travel between multiple school sites as required.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and school district policies and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid South Carolina PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) license (required).
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
- Comfortable working independently under virtual supervision.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
Assignment Details:
- Contract position running ASAP through May 27, 2027.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- In-person only, no telehealth or VOCO sessions.
- Supervision by remote PT; you will not be working under an on-site established provider.
