Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and learning in a dynamic educational setting near San Marcos, TX. We’re seeking two skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with a passion for helping children succeed across the PK-12 spectrum. This position is onsite and runs from August 6th through May 28th, with a consistent 37.5-hour weekly schedule.
Bring your expertise as an ASHA-certified SLP (CCC) and enjoy a manageable caseload—approximately 60 students per SLP. Assignments will be matched to your preferences and strengths, with the possibility of supporting students in a variety of school environments, from pre-kindergarten campuses to high schools and specialized programs. You’ll work primarily at one or two school sites, allowing you to build meaningful professional relationships as you foster student growth.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience with school-based populations (PK-12 preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and deliver therapy for students with diverse speech/language needs
- Work closely with educators, families, and support teams to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting in compliance with school and state requirements
- Serve as a resource for staff by providing strategies and tools for communication support
