Job Description
The Credit and Returns Representative processes customer credits and returns accurately and efficiently while partnering closely with the accounting team to ensure all claims are handled correctly. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to learn multiple aspects of the business, develop strong analytical and customer service skills, and grow into other areas within a supportive, family-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Process customer credits and returns in a timely, accurate, and organized manner.
- Review, analyze, and resolve each individual claim using strong problem-solving skills.
- Work closely with the accounting department to ensure credits are captured, reconciled, and not missed.
- Perform mild scanning and filing of documentation related to claims, credits, and returns.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all transactions and claim resolutions.
- Use computer systems, Microsoft Office applications, and 10-key tools to enter, track, and update claim information.
- Provide responsive, professional customer service when handling questions or issues related to credits and returns.
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines and service level expectations.
- Collaborate with team members to share information, resolve complex issues, and improve processes.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while following established policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle credit and return inquiries professionally.
- Proficiency with computers and strong 10-key skills for accurate data entry and transaction processing.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate and resolve individual claims.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple credits, returns, and documentation simultaneously.
- Effective time management skills to complete tasks within required timeframes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting claims and correspondence.
- Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal departments.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cottage Grove, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
