Bring your creativity and expertise to a dynamic school setting as an Art Therapist working with a diverse student population. In this contract-based role, you’ll provide on-site therapeutic support to students across various district sites, helping children thrive emotionally and academically.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current State Licensure through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
  • Background providing art therapy or school-based therapeutic support to children or adolescents
  • Ability to conduct small-group and individual sessions using art modalities
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educational and mental health professionals
  • Experience maintaining detailed records and adhering to confidentiality standards

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver art therapy services to a caseload of 15 students in collaboration with school staff and families
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to help students address emotional and behavioral goals
  • Conduct therapeutic art sessions both individually and in small groups
  • Maintain thorough session documentation and progress reports as required by district and licensure guidelines
  • Communicate student progress, needs, and recommendations to multidisciplinary teams

Position Details:

  • School year contract: August 19th through June 4th
  • Part-time, 20 hours per week between 8am and 4pm; flexible scheduling within these hours
  • On-site service delivery required at various district locations
  • Only one position available—impact student lives through creative, evidence-based therapeutic practice
