School Speech Language Pathologist - Denver, Colorado
Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing exceptional speech-language support in a well-established educational environment. A part-time contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work onsite at a single campus within the Denver area, backfilling for mild to moderate caseloads. This assignment will involve two full days per week (14-15 hours/week) and is set to run through May 26, 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide targeted speech and language therapy to students with mild to moderate needs (birth through 21 years).
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and legal requirements.
- Engage and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support student success.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to evaluations and eligibility assessments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Colorado Department of Education Certification.
- Active Colorado SLP License (Speech-Language Pathologist, Speech Connectionist, or Speech Therapist for ages birth through 21).
- Previous experience with school-aged populations preferred.
- Must successfully complete district background check and fingerprinting requirements prior to start.
