Vanity Hair Studio NYC is seeking a Natural Hair Stylist | Loctician to provide exceptional natural hair services in a welcoming, client-focused environment.

Position Summary

As a Natural Hair Stylist | Loctician, you will deliver high-quality styling and protective hair services, with a focus on healthy hair practices and personalized results. You’ll work directly with clients to assess hair needs, recommend suitable services, and create styles that fit their lifestyle and goals.

This role is ideal for a skilled stylist who takes pride in craftsmanship, maintains excellent hygiene standards, and values building long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform natural hair styling and loctician services, including consultation, preparation, and finishing to meet client expectations

• Assess hair and scalp conditions and recommend appropriate techniques and maintenance guidance

• Ensure consistent attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and safe workspace practices

• Maintain a professional client experience from consultation through service completion

• Support studio operations by assisting with scheduling needs, supply organization, and general upkeep as required

Required Qualifications

• Experience performing natural hair styling and/or loctician services

• Strong knowledge of hair care techniques and protective styling methods

• Ability to consult with clients and follow service plans to deliver consistent results

• Commitment to sanitation, hygiene, and professional conduct

• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic in an onsite studio setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with a variety of natural hair textures, styles, and maintenance routines

• Demonstrated skill in educating clients on aftercare and product usage

• Experience working in a client-facing salon or studio environment

• New York State License

Compensation

Hourly rate: $25.00
