Senior Drywall Project Manager and Estimator

Solid Rock Recruiting LLC
Boston, MA, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description
Solid Rock Recruiting The #1 Drywall Recruiting Firm in the USA

Senior Project Manager / Estimator
Commercial Drywall & Interiors
Greater Boston Area (Canton, MA)
Confidential Client | Established, Growing Contractor

The Opportunity

This isn’t a plug-and-play role.

We’re partnered with a well-established, relationship-driven commercial drywall and interiors contractor led by ownership with 40+ years of industry experience. The company is in a strong growth phase, taking on increasingly complex work—from high-end interiors to large-scale healthcare and commercial projects exceeding $30M.

They’re looking for a true senior-level operator—someone who understands how to win work, execute it, and protect margin. This is an opportunity for a seasoned professional who brings an ownership mindset and wants a seat at the table as the company continues to scale.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Lead drywall and interiors projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Own project financial performance, with a focus on protecting and improving margins
  • Review and validate estimates to ensure accuracy and profitability
  • Identify, price, and capture change orders and additional scope
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and client communication
  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals prior to execution
  • Partner directly with ownership on strategy, client relationships, and growth initiatives

Why This Role Stands Out
  • Direct access to ownership—no layers, no bureaucracy
  • Strong, repeat client base across healthcare, labs, hospitality, and entertainment
  • Project sizes scaling from $5M to $30M+
  • Real opportunity to influence direction and growth of the business

What They’re Looking For
  • 15–25+ years in commercial drywall and interiors construction
  • Background that includes hands-on field experience
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager or PM/Estimator hybrid
  • Strong estimating acumen (even if not currently estimating full-time)
  • Experience managing projects $5M+
  • Ability to manage clients, mitigate risk, and make sound business decisions under pressure

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Long-term growth opportunity with a stable, expanding company
