Are you passionate about creating memorable dining experiences? At HOMETOWN RESTAURANT in Lagrange, IN, we take pride in offering warm hospitality and delicious meals in a welcoming environment. We’re looking for dedicated and friendly individuals to join our team as Server/Wait Staff. If you have at least one year of experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Server/Wait Staff member, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests have a fantastic experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they arrive, seat them according to the section rotation, and ensure every guest feels welcomed. Provide water promptly after seating and handle phone calls politely and professionally.
• Order Management: Take and pack to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and including any necessary supplies. Handle cash transactions properly.
• Table Maintenance: Bus and reset tables, roll silverware, and keep all condiments, salt and pepper shakers, jelly caddies, creamer containers, and table accessories clean and organized.
• Cleaning Duties: Vacuum, sweep, mop, clean windows, sills, highchairs, booster seats, and remove cobwebs within the server’s domain. Maintain cleanliness in server areas, bathrooms, and throughout the entire front of the restaurant.
• Stocking & Organization: Stock and date products and supplies to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.
• Physical Activity: Be prepared to walk for long periods, bend, stand for your entire shift, and carry trays with balance and care.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism to the role. To thrive in this position, you should have:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role. excluding fast food service.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• The ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to handle walking, standing, bending, and carrying trays throughout your shift.
• Attention to detail, especially when it comes to cleanliness and order accuracy.
