Job Title: ASG Fleet Technician
Purpose Statement: The ASG Fleet Technician is responsible for determining necessary repairs and parts replacements on ASG buses, ensuring vehicle availability is in safe operating conditions. The technician provides comprehensive documentation of repairs to comply with ASG, DOT, state, and federal requirements.
**Job Credential: Must possess a Class A or B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsements. **
Key Responsibilities:

Work Coordination:
- Collaborates with the ASG Fleet Manager and service partners to complete work orders efficiently and within designated timelines.

Diagnostics and Repairs:
- Diagnoses potential vehicle malfunctions to identify necessary repairs or parts replacements.
- Performs minor repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.

Documentation:
- Maintains accurate records, including vehicle maintenance logs, recall notices, and inventory lists, to ensure the fleet’s operational readiness.
- Completes and reviews pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports to facilitate timely repairs and maintain compliance.

Emergency Response:
- Responds to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns, minimizing risks and vehicle downtime.

Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintains tools and equipment to ensure their availability and safe operating conditions.

Training and Standards Compliance:
- Reviews pre-trip and post-trip processes with employees to ensure inspections are thorough, defects are noted, and tasks are performed safely.

Transport and Logistics:
- Transports tools, equipment, and supplies as required to assist in bus maintenance and repair activities.

Sanitization:
- Sanitizes vehicles and podium areas as needed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the scope of ASG responsibilities.

Fluid Checks:
- Conducts weekly checks of fluid levels (e.g., oil, coolant) and adjusts as necessary to maintain optimal vehicle performance.

Tire Maintenance:
- Performs bi-weekly tire campaigns to ensure tires are safe and in good condition.
Other Functions:
- Assists other personnel as required, including operating vehicles for customer needs and refueling buses to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with DOT, state, and federal transportation standards.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and coordinate repairs.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and prioritize safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and transport tools and equipment.
- Capacity to work in various environmental conditions, including indoors and outdoors.
