Job SummaryThe Civil Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations for pavement preservation work, including coordinating crews, equipment, and materials while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily field operations for pavement preservation activities such as crack sealing, slurry seal, microsurfacing, surface treatments, and related roadway workSupervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely and efficientlyCoordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and material deliveriesEnsure work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality requirementsMaintain daily reports, production tracking, and field documentationCoordinate with project management and quality control staffEnforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on all job sitesCommunicate with owners, inspectors, and agency representatives as requiredQualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent or foreman in civil or roadway constructionStrong understanding of pavement preservation methods and sequencingAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedulesStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExperience managing multiple crews and working under tight schedulesValid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience on DOT or municipal pavement preservation projectsOSHA training or equivalent safety certifications
