Full Time Nanny/Housekeeper in Tribeca

A warm family in Tribeca, NYC is seeking an experienced and flexible Full-Time Nanny/Housekeeper to assist with the care of their two daughters, ages 10 and 8, as well as general household support. The family lives in an approximately 3,600 sq. ft. residence and is looking for someone who can become a reliable, long-term part of their household.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with multiple school-aged children and be comfortable balancing childcare with housekeeping responsibilities (laundry, organization, light cleaning). The family currently has a housekeeper once per week. Occasional simple cooking for the children may also be requested.

Portuguese or Japanese speaking candidates are a plus, but this is not required.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, with some flexibility depending on the children's school schedule.

The primary childcare hours are approximately 11A - 7P or 2p - 9p. Parents usually handle school drop-off and pick-up, later hour schedule is if you are needed to pick up kids from school.

Flexibility to occasionally stay later when needed is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Pick up the children from school and transport/accompany them to activities as needed
• Provide attentive and engaging after-school care
• Assist with the children's routines, belongings, and general organization
• Prepare occasional simple meals or snacks for the children
• General housekeeping and upkeep of the residence
• Laundry and household organization
• Light errands and household-related tasks
• Maintain a tidy and organized environment
• Provide additional flexibility during school breaks and when the family's schedule changes

Travel

The family travels approximately 10–11 weeks per year, including around two weeks at Christmas, summer vacation, and spring break.

Travel with the family is not required, although the ideal candidate will be flexible with scheduling surrounding their travel periods.

Qualifications

• Must have previous professional experience caring for two children
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills
• Comfortable working in a combined childcare/household support role
• Reliable, organized, proactive, and flexible
• Comfortable with school pickups and children's activities
• Excellent references

Compensation

Salary is DOE.

The family will cover approved work-related expenses and reimburse mileage/transportation expenses when applicable.
