Key Personnel is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a busy rheumatology practice in the Tulsa, OK area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized Medical Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Certified Medical Assistant Pay: $17.00 - $18.50/hour
Certified Medical Assistant Hours: Monday - Thursday | 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM | Fridays Off
Certified Medical Assistant Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant will support both the clinical and administrative functions of the practice, working through a three-week rotation that includes front desk, back-office clinical responsibilities, and data entry. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable working as part of a team in a busy medical office. On-the-job training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a newly certified Medical Assistant.
Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Obtain and document manual vital signs accurately.
• Administer intramuscular (IM) injections as directed and within applicable guidelines.
• Provide patients with education and instructions regarding treatments and care.
• Perform venipuncture as needed.
• Process and coordinate patient referrals.
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain patient information.
• Obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions and medical procedures.
• Check patients in and out while providing professional and courteous service.
• Collect copayments and other patient payments according to office procedures.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and appropriately triage patient calls.
• Assist with front desk and back-office duties as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with the medical team to complete daily tasks and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Follow HIPAA, patient privacy, safety, and office policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Certified Medical Assistant Qualifications:
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical office experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided in the office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional and compassionate approach when interacting with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
