Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Director to join our team. The Food Service Director will oversee all aspects of food preparation, service, and quality control within our facility. This individual will be responsible for menu planning, ordering supplies, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents
Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation
Manage inventory and ordering of food and kitchen supplies
Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and dishwashers
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate meal schedules and special events
Monitor food costs and budgetary guidelines
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Food Service Director or similar role in a healthcare or hospitality setting
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for elderly or specialized populations
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Understanding of health and safety regulations and sanitation practices
