Floor Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our commercial facilities.

Duties

• Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to maintain fresh, clean carpets
• Apply floor care treatments such as buffing, polishing, and sealing to preserve the quality and appearance of various flooring types
• Operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and extractors
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and materials are stocked, organized, and used responsibly in accordance with safety protocols
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services within commercial or institutional settings
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet cleaning methods
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
• Good organizational skills to manage supplies and prioritize tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
• Strong communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with team members
