No teaching certification is required. If you have at least 60 college credit hours or an Associate’s Degree, you may already qualify.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will help maintain a positive learning environment when regular teachers are absent by following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting student engagement.

Substitute Teacher Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher

• Maintain a respectful and organized learning environment

• Manage classroom behavior and encourage participation

• Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transitions

• Assign and review classwork and homework

• Record attendance and communicate concerns to school staff

• Support school staff in maintaining a safe and productive classroom

For long-term assignments, substitute teachers may also develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.

Schedule

Availability: Monday through Friday

Full Day: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Half Day:

• 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Schedules may vary depending on grade level and school needs.
