Job Title: Physician Liaison Manager Location-Type: Onsite – Baltimore or Bel Air, MD with extensive local/regional travel Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Compensation Range: $50/hr – $65/hr Target Conversion Salary: $100k–$120k/year bonus Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship .

Job Description: Seeking a Physician Liaison Manager to build strategic relationships with physicians and healthcare practices, analyze referral and market data, and drive long-term referral growth across an assigned hospital territory or service line. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role requiring healthcare industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to confidently educate providers on hospital programs and clinical services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with community physicians, specialists, practice managers, and referral partners
  • Conduct regular onsite visits with physician practices throughout an assigned territory
  • Analyze claims, referral, market, and CRM/PRM data to identify physician outreach opportunities
  • Identify providers and practices with potential to increase patient referrals
  • Develop strategic outreach plans based on referral patterns, market conditions, and provider needs
  • Educate physicians on hospital programs, specialists, procedures, clinical services, and new offerings
  • Become a knowledgeable and credible resource for assigned hospital programs or service lines
  • Develop data-driven presentations and market recommendations for leadership and physician audiences
  • Track competitive activity, physician feedback, referral trends, and barriers impacting patient referrals
  • Coordinate physician meetings, lunches, dinners, networking events, and other relationship-building activities
  • Maintain consistent outreach and follow-up throughout long-term physician relationship cycles
  • Partner with Marketing, PR, Business Development, hospital leadership, and physician teams on outreach initiatives
  • Maintain accurate provider and outreach activity within CRM/PRM platforms
  • Identify opportunities for new programs, services, or geographic expansion based on physician and market feedback

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of healthcare sales, physician relations, provider relations, medical/pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare business development experience
  • Healthcare industry experience; hospital or health system experience strongly preferred
  • Experience developing relationships with physicians, providers, or healthcare practices
  • Strong understanding of relationship-based, consultative business development
  • Ability to analyze claims, referral, market, CRM, or sales data to identify opportunities
  • Experience developing strategic territory or relationship-development plans
  • Ability to learn healthcare programs and clinical services and confidently educate physicians
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a territory and outreach strategy
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Academic medical center experience
  • Oncology or other complex clinical service-line experience
  • Direct physician liaison or provider relations experience
  • Experience with Marketware, Salesforce, SG2, Merative MarketScan, Crimson Market Advantage, or similar CRM/market intelligence platforms
  • Clinical background or strong medical terminology knowledge
  • Master's degree
  • Previous leadership or management experience
