On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide high-quality care to veterans at a VA outpatient clinic in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide comprehensive primary care while working collaboratively with an experienced healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care services to Department of Veterans Affairs beneficiaries.
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide ongoing care for minor wounds and common illnesses.
- Follow established medication and clinical policies.
- Communicate test results in accordance with applicable VHA requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and staff meetings.
- Complete required quality management and performance improvement documentation.
- Accurately document patient care and select appropriate E&M procedure codes in the EHR.
- Follow patient safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes.
- 1+ year of Primary Care experience
- 1+ year of experience in Clinical Documentation, EHR Training, or Medical Coding
- Valid DEA certification/license
- Valid NPI
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- 1+ year of experience in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Geriatric Care
- Valid Massachusetts license as an MD, DO, or PA-C
- Onsite position with scheduled tours of duty in Primary Care.
- Punctuality and attendance are documented according to established procedures.
