Production Manager
Job Description
- Run daily production operations for your value stream — staffing, scheduling, throughput, and output — from material release through final shipment
Lead and develop production supervisors and their teams across a 25–100+ person production organization, building accountability-driven frontline leadership
Own the safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance of production within your value stream
Drive manufacturing readiness for new product introductions, working ahead of ramp to catch issues before they hit the floor
Identify and remove production bottlenecks; run Lean tools like value stream mapping and Kaizen events to keep work moving
Maintain OSHA compliance and lead a visible, hands-on safety culture on the floor
Metal Fabrication — sequencing and hand-offs into production
Welding Operations — scheduling and quality hand-offs
Mechanical & Final Assembly — flow and staging
Manufacturing Engineering — process changes and NPI readiness
Quality Operations — closing the loop on defects and rework
Material Flow / Supply Chain — inbound timing and shortages
You're the person who makes sure a job moves cleanly from one discipline to the next — resolving the friction between teams so nothing stalls on the floor.
7–10 years in manufacturing leadership, including experience directly managing production supervisors
Background in contract manufacturing (EMS, industrial, or engineered-to-order environments)
Working knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and assembly operations — you don't need to have run these functions, but you need to speak the language
Lean manufacturing fundamentals (value stream mapping, Kaizen, root-cause problem solving)
Comfortable working in an ERP/MRP system (SAP a plus, not required)
Experience with complex, engineered-to-order products — modular data centers, battery energy storage systems, power distribution, or electrical enclosures
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management
We are particularly interested in leaders who have manufactured complex integrated products such as:
- Modular Data Centers
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
