Service Sales - Fire Protection
Job Description
Our client is an established, full-service fire protection contractor with over a decade of experience designing, installing, and servicing life-safety systems across Texas. Their work protects hospitals, medical offices, warehouses, storage facilities, corporate offices, retail centers, and government buildings. They're known for high-integrity work, clear communication, and long-term client relationships. As they grow, they've engaged us to identify a driven Service Salesperson to expand their recurring service and inspection business.
Position Summary
The Service Salesperson will generate new business and grow existing accounts across our client's service lines: fire sprinkler, fire alarm, backflow, fire extinguisher, and underground fire line inspection, maintenance, and repair. This is a hunter/farmer role focused on selling recurring inspection agreements, service contracts, and repair work to commercial and residential property owners, facility managers, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and close new service and inspection agreements (sprinkler, alarm, backflow, extinguisher, underground fire lines).
- Grow and retain existing accounts by uncovering additional service, repair, and code-compliance needs.
- Build relationships with building owners, property managers, facility directors, and general contractors.
- Conduct site walks and assessments to scope service opportunities and deficiencies.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and inspection agreements.
- Partner with operations and inspection teams to ensure smooth handoff and delivery.
- Track pipeline, activity, and revenue in the CRM and hit assigned sales targets.
- Stay current on NFPA codes, AHJ requirements, and local fire-safety compliance standards.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in fire protection, life safety, mechanical/MEP, building services, or a related field.
- Understanding of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, backflow, and/or extinguisher systems strongly preferred (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Proven track record of hitting sales quotas and building a book of recurring business.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable reading basic plans/specs and conducting field site visits.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Self-motivated, organized, and CRM-disciplined.
