About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing specialty manufacturing organization in the Rockwall, TX area to identify an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations. This is an opportunity to take ownership of production performance, team leadership, quality, safety, and continuous improvement within a hands-on manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who thrives in a smaller manufacturing operation and enjoys being close to the floor, solving problems, and driving results.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily production operations and ensure production, quality, safety, and delivery goals are met.
- Lead, train, and motivate production employees and shift supervisors.
- Develop production schedules and optimize workflow to meet customer demand.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve operational challenges.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
- Drive lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage inventory and coordinate materials to support production needs.
- Address performance issues and administer corrective action when necessary.
- Troubleshoot production issues and lead cross-functional problem solving.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and product quality.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of production or manufacturing management experience.
- Experience managing operations in a finished-goods manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience leading production teams, including hourly employees and shift supervisors.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Comfortable working in a smaller manufacturing environment with broad operational responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Industry-specific wire/cable experience is not required. We are open to candidates from a variety of manufacturing backgrounds.
