Job Summary:
As a Janitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our facility's cleanliness, organization, and overall hygiene standards. This position is critical to ensuring that the Company continues to uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality products and creating a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing various areas such as offices, restrooms, break rooms, and manufacturing floors.
- Collect, separate, and properly dispose of waste materials following established guidelines and recycling practices. Regularly empty trash bins and recycling containers throughout the facility.
- Monitor and restock janitorial supplies, ensuring that cleaning agents, paper towels, soap, and other necessary items are readily available. Keep inventory records and promptly notify the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, such as malfunctioning equipment, broken fixtures, or safety hazards, to the appropriate department. Assist in the coordination of repairs and maintenance activities as needed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and standards while performing assigned duties. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow established protocols to minimize potential risks, such as handling chemicals safely.
Working Conditions:
- The Janitor will work primarily in an indoor manufacturing environment. The role may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and machinery noise; therefore, adherence to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE is essential. This is a full-time position, and the schedule may include evening or weekend shifts, depending on the needs of the facility.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing for extended periods.
