Job Summary
Briarwood Nursing and Rehab, a renowned provider of healthcare services, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our residents, fostering their physical and emotional well-being through engaging activities and programs.
Responsibilities
• Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities that cater to the interests and abilities of our residents
• Develop and lead recreational programs, such as arts and crafts, games, and fitness activities
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and meet the unique needs of each resident
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes
• Provide one-on-one support and companionship to residents, as needed
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized activity space, adhering to infection control guidelines
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 25 pounds, as needed
• Familiarity with basic computer software, such as Microsoft Office
