Job Description
Day in the Life in Portland, OR (97203)
You start your shift checking the blast pot and spray equipment, laying out masking, and reviewing the day’s specs. A steel component arrives with old coatings and rust—your surface prep begins with cleaning, sanding, and careful masking. You transition to the blasting booth, methodically removing contaminants until the profile is just right. Next up: mixing primers and topcoats to spec, dialing in gun settings, and applying even, high-quality finishes. Before sign-off, you inspect every inch, make touch-ups, document outcomes, and return tools and equipment to ready status. Safety guardrails guide every step, and you coordinate closely with teammates to hit deadlines without compromising quality.
