Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse and inventory functions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing warehouse personnel, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring efficient shipping, receiving, and product movement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with food manufacturing or production is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead warehouse staff to ensure daily operational goals are met.
- Oversee all shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse organization.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials and finished goods between production and the warehouse.
- Ensure products are stored safely and warehouse procedures comply with company standards.
- Train, coach, and evaluate warehouse employees while promoting a positive team environment.
- Schedule workloads and prioritize tasks to meet production and customer deadlines.
- Monitor warehouse safety and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Work closely with production, purchasing, and management to ensure efficient operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and increase productivity.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse supervisory or warehouse management experience.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Previous experience supervising warehouse personnel.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Food manufacturing or cold storage experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
