The Gardens at Camp Hill is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Director to lead our Environmental Services Department at our skilled nursing facility in Camp Hill, PA.
The primary purpose of this role is to implement and oversee housekeeping procedures in an efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Ensure the facility and department are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
Maintain adequate levels of supplies, disinfectants, and equipment to support operations
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining infection control, waste disposal, and Universal Precautions policies and procedures
Conduct weekly inspections of Environmental Services functions to ensure quality standards are met
Supervise laundry operations, including washer and dryer use and linen processing
Oversee proper linen handling and distribution in accordance with facility policies and resident rights
Ensure all resident clothing is cleaned, folded, repaired, and returned appropriately
Monitor departmental performance and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a supervisory role
Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, or healthcare preferred
Basic computer knowledge desirable
Must be 18 years of age or older
