We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Commercial Lines Marketing and Placement to join our clients' growing organization. This senior-level position plays a critical role in driving commercial insurance operations forward by overseeing the strategic marketing and placement of commercial insurance products across multiple lines of business. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional relationship management skills, deep market knowledge, and a proven track record of successfully negotiating complex insurance placements with multiple carriers.
As Vice President, you will serve as a key liaison between clients, internal account teams, and insurance carrier partners. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance client advocacy with carrier relationship management while maintaining profitability and ensuring optimal coverage solutions. You will be responsible for leading marketing efforts for both new business opportunities and renewal accounts, requiring expertise in coverage analysis, market positioning, and negotiation strategies.
- Lead the comprehensive marketing and placement process for commercial lines accounts across multiple insurance products including General Liability, Property, Workers Compensation, Professional Liability, Cyber Liability, and other specialty lines
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for both new business opportunities and renewal accounts, ensuring optimal carrier selection and competitive positioning
- Maintain and expand relationships with insurance carriers, wholesalers, underwriters, building a robust network of market contacts to facilitate efficient placement and access to competitive terms
- Evaluate client risk profiles and determine appropriate markets for submission, considering carrier appetite, pricing trends, and coverage requirements
- Coordinate the submission process, ensuring all necessary information is compiled, organized, and presented professionally to carrier partners
- Lead negotiations with insurance carriers to secure optimal premium rates, coverage terms, and policy conditions that meet client needs while maintaining account profitability
- Analyze and compare multiple carrier quotes, identifying coverage gaps, exclusions, and opportunities for enhancement
- Advocate for clients during the negotiation process, leveraging market knowledge and carrier relationships to achieve favorable outcomes
- Review policy language and endorsements to ensure accuracy and alignment with negotiated terms
- Develop creative solutions for difficult-to-place risks, utilizing alternative markets and program structures when necessary
