Part-Time | $18.21-$19.21 per hour

At the Sonoma County Family YMCA, Swim Instructors help children and adults gain confidence, learn life-saving skills, and discover the joy of being in the water. Every lesson is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's life.

What You'll Do

As a Swim Instructor, you'll create a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment where swimmers of all ages can learn and grow.

You'll:

  • Teach swim lessons using YMCA curriculum
  • Help participants develop swimming skills and water safety awareness
  • Build positive relationships with children, adults, and families
  • Encourage confidence, achievement, and personal growth
  • Track attendance and student progress
  • Prepare and care for class equipment
  • Support a positive and welcoming aquatic environment

Schedule

We're looking for team members who are available to work a variety of shifts, including:

'05; Weekdays-Afternoons & Evenings

'05; Weekends

What We're Looking For
  • Must be at least 16 years old by date of hire
  • Passion for working with children and families
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
  • YMCA Swim Lesson certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
