This Strategic Sourcing Manager will support specialized sourcing activities involving inhalation powder products and medical devices, partnering with external manufacturers and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs). The position requires someone who can combine strong commercial sourcing expertise with an understanding of regulated pharmaceutical and medical-device supply environments.

- Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099).
- Contract opportunity running from September 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027.
- Schedule of approximately 24 hours per week across 3 days.
- Opportunity to support highly specialized sourcing and supplier-management activities within a global biopharmaceutical environment.
- Work will be based in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for inhalation powder products, medical devices, and related externally manufactured materials or services.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage CDMOs and medical-device manufacturing partners.
- Develop and execute RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes to support supplier selection and commercial decision-making.
- Perform total cost of ownership, spend, cost-modeling, commodity, and market-intelligence analyses.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, commercial terms, and supplier agreements.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction while balancing quality, supply continuity, regulatory requirements, and business needs.
- Assess supplier and supply-chain risks and establish practical mitigation strategies.
- Develop sourcing and supplier-performance KPIs.
- Partner effectively with Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders operating within GMP-regulated environments.
Do You Bring Proven Success in Strategic Sourcing for Inhalation and Medical Device Manufacturing?
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8–10+ years of relevant experience, including strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Direct industry knowledge involving inhalation powder products and medical devices.
- Demonstrated experience working with CDMOs and/or medical-device manufacturers.
- Strong background in supplier identification, evaluation, qualification, and ongoing supplier management.
- Experience running competitive RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills covering contracts, pricing, and business terms.
- Knowledge of regulated life-sciences requirements, including GMP and FDA regulations; familiarity with GLP and GDP is valuable.
- Ability to perform TCO analysis, spend analysis, financial analysis, cost modeling, and market or commodity research.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- CPM or CPSM certification is beneficial but not required.
