RYZE West is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting our residents by assisting with meal preparation, food service, sanitation, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review, prepare, and serve meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and residents' special diet orders.
Prepare and serve nutritional bedtime snacks and appropriate substitute foods for residents who refuse meals or specific menu items.
Ensure food, equipment, and supplies are properly prepared, stored, maintained, and handled in accordance with applicable sanitary and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment while following infection control and food safety procedures.
Perform dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties as assigned.
Prepare and deliver snacks and refreshments to residents as instructed.
Deliver food carts and meal trays and assist with serving food and beverages in the dining room.
Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen, dish room, and other assigned areas.
Follow all facility policies, procedures, and dietary department standards.
Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to help ensure residents' nutritional and dining needs are met.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor or Director of Dietary Services.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred/required.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Previous food service, dietary, healthcare, or long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
Must demonstrate a professional, respectful, and compassionate approach when interacting with residents.
Must maintain the proper care and use of supplies, equipment, and work areas.
Must possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when working with residents.
Must be willing to learn and incorporate new methods, procedures, and best practices related to food service and resident care.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
