What You’ll Do

As a Sushi Line Cook at Mora Oak Park, you’ll be an essential part of our team, helping to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Food Preparation: Prepare sushi rice, season it with vinegar, and expertly slice fish such as tuna and salmon.
• Sushi Assembly: Roll maki, shape nigiri, and plate sashimi with precision and care.
• Station Maintenance: Keep your workspace spotless by cleaning work boards, knives, and refrigerators.
• Safety Practices: Ensure food freshness by tracking dates and following FIFO (First In, First Out) guidelines.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled professional who is ready to hit the ground running. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Knife Skills: A solid understanding of safe and effective knife handling techniques.
• Speed and Focus: The ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Physical Stamina: The endurance to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or sushi bar setting.
