Ultrasound Tech – General
Location: Dover, OH
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Shift: Day Shift | 3×12 Hours
Travel Pay: $64–$68/hr | Approximately $2,208–$2,346/week, based on experience
Local Pay: $55–$60/hr | Approximately $1,897–$2,070/week, based on experience
We are seeking an experienced General Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a clinical healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images, following established imaging protocols, providing compassionate patient care, and maintaining accurate examination documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including:
- Abdominal studies
- Pelvic studies
- OB/GYN studies
- Small-parts examinations
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while following established protocols and physician orders.
- Review patient history and relevant clinical information before examinations.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide professional, compassionate care.
- Position and prepare patients appropriately for ultrasound examinations.
- Operate ultrasound equipment and perform basic equipment quality checks.
- Identify and promptly report equipment issues or malfunctions.
- Accurately document examinations, measurements, and relevant information for radiologist/physician interpretation.
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, HIPAA, and departmental policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
- ARDMS certification/registration preferred or required, typically including RDMS with appropriate specialty credentials for the position.
- Verify whether the specific position requires an Ohio Department of Health radiologic license based on job duties and facility requirements.
- BLS/CPR certification may be required by the facility.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography / Ultrasound program.
- Maintain current professional certifications/registrations and required continuing education.
- Experienced in general diagnostic ultrasound.
- Comfortable performing a variety of abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, and small-parts studies.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Able to work independently while maintaining accuracy and adherence to imaging protocols.
- Available for the required Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM schedule.
