Senior Living Dining Server
Job Description
Allegria Village, a vibrant senior living community in Dearborn, is currently seeking part-time Dining Servers to join our Independent Living dining team.
This is a non-tipped position, offering a steady hourly wage in a friendly, team-oriented environment where you’ll build meaningful relationships with our residents. Unlike restaurant work, there are no late nights, no tipping pressure, and a consistent, supportive pace focused on hospitality and care.
This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, retirees, or anyone looking for part-time evening and weekend work in a welcoming environment.
Work Schedule (Must Be Available)Monday–Saturday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Applicants under 18 must have a valid work permit.

As a Dining Server, you will play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents and guests. You will provide friendly, respectful service in a restaurant-style setting within a senior living community.
You will assist with taking orders, serving meals, setting and clearing tables, and ensuring the dining room is clean, welcoming, and comfortable for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Greet residents and guests warmly and provide excellent customer service
Take meal orders accurately and serve food in a timely manner
Assist residents with menu selections as needed
Set up, clean, and reset dining tables before and after meals
Restock supplies and maintain cleanliness of the dining area
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Respond professionally to resident needs, questions, or concerns
Work as part of a supportive dining team
Follow all safety procedures and community policies
Previous food service experience is helpful but not required
Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented personality
Strong communication skills (able to speak, read, and write English)
Respectful, patient, and caring attitude toward seniors
Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
Comfortable with physical activity including standing and walking for long periods
Willingness to learn and work in a structured dining environment
Standing and walking for extended periods
Lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
Bending, reaching, and repetitive motion tasks
Working with food service equipment and cleaning supplies
Non-tipped, stable hourly pay
