Job Description
An established mechanical construction organization is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute commercial and industrial projects from initial planning through installation, start-up, and final completion. Projects may include HVAC, plumbing, piping, mechanical equipment, and other building systems. This position is responsible for keeping projects safe, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with contract and quality requirements. The Project Manager will serve as a key point of contact for clients, engineering teams, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects from initial planning through installation, start-up, and closeout.
- Coordinate project schedules, technical deliverables, field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, workforce needs, materials, and equipment.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, invoices, payment requests, cost reports, forecasting, budgets, and project documentation.
- Lead project kick-off and progress meetings, client communication, value-engineering discussions, and coordination among project stakeholders.
- Monitor site progress, quality, safety, contract compliance, specifications, warranties, as-built documentation, and Operations & Maintenance manuals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping, mechanical contracting, design-build construction, or a closely related field.
- Project management experience with responsibility for full project ownership preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; significant construction management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Working knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost forecasting, procurement, document control, and construction billing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and project management systems; experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, Revit, or similar software is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and applicable construction safety rules and regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and operations leadership.

The base pay range for this position is $70,000–$100,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
