A community-focused healthcare organization in Northern Oregon, near Dufur, is seeking an experienced Dentist to join its established dental team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity providing comprehensive general dentistry to patients across the lifespan. The organization is specifically seeking an experienced provider and is not considering new graduates at this time. Dentists with 2 or more years of experience start at $175,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package, substantial PTO, continuing education support, and potential NHSC loan repayment.


Responsibilities

The Dentist will:

  • Provide comprehensive general dental care to patients of all ages.
  • Perform thorough oral examinations and diagnose dental conditions.
  • Develop appropriate treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Perform general dental procedures within the provider's scope of practice.
  • Educate patients regarding oral health, prevention, and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in clinical quality monitoring and peer review activities.
  • Collaborate with dental and healthcare team members to support coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education activities.
  • Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including underserved communities.


Schedule

  • Full-time
  • 1.0 FTE
  • Permanent position
  • Specific days and hours will be discussed during the screening process


Minimum Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
  • Current Oregon Dental License.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Required continuing dental education maintained in good standing.
  • Successful completion of credentialing and privileging requirements.
  • Prior clinical dentistry experience required. New graduates are not being considered.
  • Strong general dentistry and clinical skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while managing an independent patient schedule.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of clinical dentistry experience strongly preferred.
  • English/Spanish bilingual proficiency.
  • Experience working with diverse or underserved patient populations.
  • Experience with Epic or a similar electronic health record.


Compensation

  • Candidates with 2 or more years of experience start at $175,000 annually.
  • Additional $0.75/hour bilingual differential for qualified English/Spanish bilingual providers.
