Senior School Portrait Photographer needed for a school picture portrait studio in the San Fernando Valley area (North Hollywood). We specialize in capturing portraits of students K through 12th grade. This role drives premium senior portrait sessions and large-group panoramic shoots. Ideal candidates possess extensive studio lighting expertise, a stellar portfolio, and the ability to manage end-to-end yearbook photography processes, ensuring every student's milestone is captured to the highest standard.

- 3+years of professional photography experience with a strong focus on high school senior portraits and campus panoramas.
- Deep understanding of studio lighting (strobes, softboxes, and ambient balancing).
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and industry-standard tethering and editing software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet rigid publication deadlines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation is a must, to North Hollywood and greater Los Angeles School Locations.
- Candidate must be able to work shifts 9 am to 5 pm and 12 pm to 8 pm at either of our San Fernando Valley locations, North Hollywood or Northridge, and be able to work a combination of 5 days (8-hour shifts) per week.
- A Live Scan is Required for employment consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Execute advanced studio portrait lighting setups (multi-light, modifiers, and gels) specifically tailored for high school senior portraits.
- Direct and photograph large-scale campus groups and traditional panorama photography for athletics, clubs, and graduating classes.
- Oversee the end-to-end yearbook photography workflow, ensuring precise adherence to school-specific publication deadlines and formatting.
- Provide on-site direction, ensuring a comfortable, engaging, and professional environment for students during their sessions.
- Perform basic digital image editing, color correction, and proofing prior to submission.
- Maintain and organize photography gear, backdrops, and lighting equipment.
