1st Shift Flavor (Production) Operator
- Location: Carol Stream, IL
- Shift: 1st Shift
- Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Position Summary
The 1st Shift Flavor Production Operator handles the blending, compounding, and mixing of liquid or powder food-grade flavors. This position requires precise recipe execution, strict adherence to multi-step instructions, and accurate documentation of the production run.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily production schedules and stage raw aroma chemicals, ingredients, and carriers.
- Accurately weigh and pour raw materials into mixing tanks, blending machines, or spray dryers following the batch record formulas.
- Monitor processing equipment during operations to ensure standard mixing times, speeds, and temperatures are sustained.
- Collect product samples for Quality Assurance testing and laboratory analysis.
- Complete detailed paperwork, tracking exact ingredient lots used, weights, and total outputs.
- Execute mandatory equipment washdowns and deep-cleans between product flavor changes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a food, beverage, chemical, or pharmaceutical compounding environment is a plus.
- Ability to follow complex recipes and multi-step directions carefully.
- Must be comfortable working around strong smells, flavor aromas, and diverse food scents.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
