Job Description
Registered Nurse – Oncology, Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States. This travel temporary assignment begins on 09/08/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,581 to $1,675 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 12x3 schedule (approximately 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) in a hospital setting on an oncology-medical surgical unit. This position is arranged through Healthforce Healthcare LLC and supports travel nursing assignments nationwide.
Note: Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to oncology-medical surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and manage symptoms and adverse effects per physician orders.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, contribute to care planning, and document in the electronic health record; adjust plans as patient needs evolve.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate treatment, manage IV therapies, and respond to clinical changes; participate in patient and family education.
- Maintain accuracy and safety in procedures, adhere to infection control practices, and uphold patient dignity and privacy; demonstrate BLS and NIHSS protocols as required by certification.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent, specialty-specific nursing experience in oncology/medical-surgical settings.
- Certifications: AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Healthcare environment: Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 12x3 schedule and participate in on-call or holiday coverage as required.
- Travel eligibility: Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and meet local distance restrictions noted for this opening.
