SAVARD is looking for a hands-on Field Technician to support pipe installation and jointing operations. The ideal candidate has worked with fiberglass, GRP pipe, or related experience, is safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable working in a field environment. This position requires travel throughout the United States, including travel to offshore sites wherever our field projects are located.
Key Requirements:
- Must have fiberglass, GRP pipe, composite, or related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Monitor pipe installation and jointing to ensure procedures and quality standards are followed.
- Identify, inspect, handle, and properly store pipes, fittings, and chemicals.
- Prepare pipe and fitting surfaces for installation.
- Joint pipes and fittings according to approved procedures.
- Identify pipe and fitting defects and assist with repairs.
- Conduct hydrostatic and deflection testing on installed lines.
- Read and follow piping drawings, equipment manuals, and work instructions.
- Ability to travel as needed
Shifts:
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Weekends/OT/Travel as needed
Duration:
- Temp to hire after probationary period
